Our Benefits

Group Health (PPO and HMO plans available depending on location; inquire to HR for rates)
Comprehensive medical coverage through Anthem.  Employees may choose services in or out of network.  A discount prescription drug program is provided.

Group Dental (Full-time employees)
A group dental plan is provided through Guardian that covers preventive, basic, and major services to an annual maximum of $1,500 per family member.  Employees may choose service in or out of network.

Group Life Insurance (Full-time employees)
$50,000 in Life Insurance and Accidental Death and Dismemberment is available through Mutual of Omaha.  The policy is not limited to job related incidents.  Additional optional coverage is also available for employees and immediate family members.

401(k) Retirement/Profit Sharing Plan
Employees are eligible to start contributions the quarter following a two month waiting period from their hire date. Quarters begin on January 1st, April 1st, July 1st and October 1st. AOCE will match contributions up to 4%, four months following the date of eligibility.

Group Short and Long Term Disability Coverage (Full-time employees)
Short Term and Long Term Disability Coverage is available to employees through Mutual of Omaha to replace the bulk of employee salary if unable to work for an extended period. 

Flexible Benefit Plan (Full-time employees)
Employees may set aside pre-tax income through payroll deductions into a Flexible Savings Account to pay expected health and/or dependent care expenses with pre-tax dollars. 

Vision Service Plan (Full-time employees)
A group vision plan is provided through Guardian using VSP’s network. 

Optional Insurance Coverage (Full-time employees)
An array of optional coverages including Cancer, Intensive Care and Hospital Indemnity insurance are available through Aflac.  Premiums are deducted from employee’s pay.

Jury Duty (Full-time employees)
AOCE pays full-time employees their normal non-overtime salary or hourly rate for up to two weeks of jury duty if the employee provides advance notification of selection for jury duty and signs over their jury duty reimbursement check to the company.

Transportation Fringe Benefit (Full-time employees)
Those employees who commute to work in the Washington, DC area may participate in a mass transit reimbursement plan. Participation will be negotiated as part of the prospective employee’s overall compensation package.  IRS guidance will be used, and the benefit will not exceed the maximum non-taxable amount allowed.

Personal Time Off (Full-time employees)
New employees normally accrue 12 days of paid personal leave per year (excludes weekends and federal holidays) starting from their first day of employment.
