Dec 03 -- Instructor-Trainer Courseware to
be Released on December 30th.
As we reported in our July
23rd press release, we believe the most under-emphasized topic in nearly all
organizations is the process of training of people in
the organization. A recurring theme in this area is also the lack of a capability to effectively train-the-trainers
who become the instructors for the organization. Designed as inexpensive,
commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) courseware, Alpha-Omega's Instructor-Trainer
Courseware will be officially released on December 30, 2003. The AOCE Instructor-Trainer
Course is designed to be a detailed familiarization course packaged on a single
compact disk. The course focuses on
the basic essential elements of of instruction, including topics in:
(1) how students learn, (2) group interaction, (3) determining
training needs, (4) types of lesson presentations, medias, materials,
and styles, (5) lesson plan development, (6) classroom presentation methods, and
(7) critiques and instructor evaluations. We have designed the
Instructor-Trainer to be a great stand-alone course, or used as a tool to
augment your existing internal training program. The course can be used for
initial training, or as continuation or refresher training for people already
performing as instructors, teachers, or trainers. We believe this course will help
educational, government and commercial agencies fill a serious gap in how they
train people to effectively impart their technical knowledge to others. Please contact us
if you would like additional information. (E-mail: AOCE

Jul 03 -- AOCE's New Train-the-Trainer Nears Completion
Over the years,
Alpha-Omega has compared government and commercial work processes and programs. Our
analyses have revealed many distinctly different areas unique to each
work environment, as well as
many common issues. The most common topical area that exists in all
organizations is the process of training people to do the tasks their
organization needs to perform. And, yet, a recurring theme in
most organizations is a lack of capability to effectively train people to teach
others. We have observed this organizational development
shortcoming in educational institutions, military organizations,
government agencies, and in large and small businesses. For this reason,
AOCE has concentrated on developing a new Instructor-Trainer Development course that will meet the needs of both
our government and our commercial clients. This course focuses on
the basic essentials elements of of instruction, including topics in:
(1) how students learn, (2) group interaction, (3) determining
training needs, (4) types of lesson presentations, medias, materials,
and styles, (5) lesson plan development and (6) classroom presentation, and
(7) critiques and instructor evaluations. We believe this course will help
educational, government and commercial agencies fill a serious gap in how they
train people to effectively impart their technical knowledge to others. We expect this new course to be
available as an off-the-shelf
courseware item by year end. Please contact us
if you would like additional information.
