13 Dec 05 – Award Announced for HQ ACC International Fighter Programs, Exercise and Aircraft Ferry Support Activities
Alpha-Omega has been selected to provide Headquarters Air Combat Command (HQ ACC) Security Assistance Branch (A3TS) with the security assistance program support for Foreign Military Sales (FMS) activities.  Specific areas of responsibility include  providing technical expertise for Allied program management, site surveys, pilot and maintenance training, computer based and conventional courseware development, Foreign Military Sales contract development, contracted aircrew training, program management reviews, aircraft deliveries, technical assistance, mobile training team support, staff assistance visits, and operations review. 

 

 

22 Nov 05 – Eagle Vision Data Integration Segment (EV DIS) Courseware (Final Version) Released
AOCE has released the Data Integration Segment (DIS) course supporting Eagle Vision Systems 3, 4 and 5.  The EV Systems are mobile, satellite imagery downlink and processing systems that provide military units with access to the capabilities of commercial satellites.  EV systems provide self-contained, deployable capabilities to acquire and process high-resolution commercial imagery and provide this data, in real-time, to warfighters and peacetime emergency responders in the field.  The DIS course provides Eagle Vision personnel with systems knowledge about the concepts and procedures associated with the Eagle Vision Modules in the following topics:

1 Oct 05 – Alpha-Omega Selected to Continue to Provide a Wide Range of Logistics Support Activities
AOCE has been selected to continue to provide the Air National Guard Readiness Center (ANGRC) and Air National Guard (ANG) bases with technical expertise to assist ANG managers in Program Management and Integrated Logistics Support; Logistics Technology and Corrosion Support; Logistics Technical Advisor Support; and Transportation Management Support.

 

The overall intent of Program Management and Integrated Logistics Support Program is to improve supportability of ANG legacy weapon systems by resolving support equipment (SE) and prime mission equipment (PME) issues through use of integrated logistics support, acquisition and life-cycle management techniques.  Integrated logistics support includes, performance of feasibility analyses, logistics planning, requirements determination, policy and procedures development, long-term maintainability and reliability alternative determination, and training.

 

The objective of the Logistics And Corrosion Technology Support effort is to provide ANG operational units with corrosion technology advisory and consulting services.  AOCE will provide interface on corrosion and logistics issues between ANG Units, ANGRC, USAF Major Commands (MAJCOMs) and Air Logistics Centers (ALCs).  AOCE personnel will serve as the Corrosion Liaison at Robins AFB (WR-ALC) and work with the Air Force Corrosion Program Office to provide assistance to ANG units concerning depot aircraft and equipment repairs, as well as field issues.

 

The purpose of the Logistics Technical Advisor Support task is to support ANG Units with technical services and to assist ANGRC through direct field-level support to the ANG/LG staff, technical assistance as well as interface and coordination on logistics issues for the ANG units, ANGRC, USAF Major Commands (MAJCOMs) and USAF Air Logistics Centers (ALCs).  Provide field level support for requirements such as unit staff assistance, MSEP and mission conversion needs and participate in logistics study groups or teams.

 

26 Sep 05 – Alpha-Omega Releases AN/USC-60A Familiarization Courseware (BETA version)
AOCE's Training Development Team has released the AN/USC-60A Flyaway Tri-band Satellite Terminal (FTSAT) System courseware.  The -60A FTSAT is a mobile, off-the-shelf, data communications system that is designed to uplink and downlink signals to/from communications satellites.  The FTSAT system is capable of operation over C, X or Ku-bandwidths.  This familiarization courseware was developed to provide information on FTSAT assembly and operation in support of the Eagle Vision system's worldwide wartime and peacetime missions.  

 

23 Sep 05 – Alpha-Omega to Provide Transportation Management Support
AOCE has been awarded a contract to provide the Air National Guard Readiness Center (ANGRC) and Air National Guard (ANG) bases with technical expertise to assist ANG managers in
providing timely logistics, policy and planning support for ANG forces.  AOCE shall provide a focal point within the ANG to work and resolve organizational, functional and technical issues pertaining to transportation management.  AOCE experts will perform trade-off studies to assist in determining impact of changes in logistics/transportation readiness and vehicle management policy and procedures.

 

12 Sep 05 – AOCE Continues to Provide National Guard Agile Logistics And Air Force Repair Enhancement Program (AFREP) Support
AOCE has been selected to continue providing the Air National Guard Readiness Center (ANGRC) with technical expertise in planning and executing the transition of avionics Level of Maintenance codes and collecting and analyzing data for repair initiatives in support of AFREP.  We will: 

 

(1)  Work with ANG, Air Force and other agencies to resolve organizational, functional and technical issues pertaining to the two-level maintenance (2LM) and AFREP programs; 

(2)  Prioritize aircraft components for transition to 2LM or three-level maintenance (3LM); 

(3)  Evaluate 2LM or 3LM impacts on aircraft readiness, facilities, equipment and personnel, 

(4)  Recommend modifications to automated data systems to mitigate impact of these changes on operational units, 

(5)  Develop standards of performance that depict 2LM performance of weapon systems, and, if required, support equipment items and components.

 

22 Jul 05 -- Intelligence Oversight Familiarization Course Updated
AOCE's Training Development Section has completed an update of the Eagle Vision (EV) Operations Intelligence Oversight Familiarization Course training courseware.  Eagle Vision is a mobile, off-the-shelf, data downlink and processing system that relies on the capabilities of commercial satellites.  EV systems incorporate the ability to acquire and process high-resolution, commercial imagery and provide this data to warfighters in the field, in real-time.  In addition EV is capable of supporting natural disaster or Homeland Security situations within the United States.  The Intelligence Oversight Program outlines the Intelligence gathering and surveillance activities that can be performed by DoD personnel.  This courseware is designed to support the initial and recurring training needs of Eagle Vision Systems personnel in South Carolina, Nevada, Hawaii, Alabama, and at overseas locations.

 

18 Apr 05 – Commercial Imagery Licensing Familiarization Course (Final Version) Released 
AOCE has released the Commercial Imagery Licensing Course.  This familiarization courseware package describes the commercial imagery licensing process for both the limited and general categories of the ClearView contract managed by the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA).   The courseware concentrates on building an understanding of both categories, but with an emphasis on the limited licensing approach as the most common Eagle Vision method to procure commercial satellite imagery.  The course also includes information about proper imagery marking and provides students with scenarios of how imagery licenses levels would be determined in various real-world situations.

 

1 Apr 05 – Alpha-Omega Begins Development of RADARSAT Certification Courseware 
AOCE's Training Development Team began developing training data to support RADARSAT certification process.  As a mobile satellite download system, Eagle Vision is capable of performing as an authorized downlink platform for the RADARSAT satellite system.  This satellite system is a synthetic aperture radar (SAR) system operated jointly by RADARSAT International, Inc. and the Canadian Space Agency.  Eagle Vision personnel will use the developed courseware as a training aid which leads to obtaining certification to perform downloads from the RADARSAT satellite.

 

 

22 Mar 05 – Alpha-Omega Begins U.S. State Department Support 
AOCE has been selected to provide consultant services to the the Department of State, Bureau of Resource Management Office of Strategic and Performance Planning (RM/SPP) who will provide program management support to integrate strategy, planning and budget as well as secure the resources needed to help the Department of State in meeting foreign policy challenges and accomplishing its mission.  Included in this effort are participation in the formal Mission Performance Planning (MPP) cycle, including the review and analysis of MPPs, as well as performing Strategic Plan outreach with both public and private stakeholders and constituents.

 

27 Jan 05 – Eagle Vision III/IV Antenna System Familiarization Course (Final Version) Released 
AOCE's Training Development Section completed development of training data supporting the Eagle Vision III and IV Antenna Systems.  (A Beta version of this courseware was distributed in December 2004. -- See our 23 December 2004 Press Release for additional data)  The Antenna courseware package contains detailed procedural information and supporting screen text, narration, high-resolution graphics and mid-level animations to provide Eagle Vision personnel with systems knowledge about the concepts and procedures associated with deployment, set-up and operation of the Eagle Vision III/IV Antenna System

10 Jan 05 – Alpha Omega Completes Development of DITSCAP Courseware
AOCE's Eagle Vision training development team has completed development of an Eagle Vision Department of Defense Information Technology Security Certification and Accreditation Process (EV DITSCAP) electronic courseware package.  SecureInfo Corporation, a national leader in certification and accreditation software and training, provided the DITSCAP course content and performed as the subject matter experts for review during various stages of courseware development.  AOCE training development personnel converted the existing training data and developed supporting graphics, narration, and back-up data to produce an electronic courseware package tailored to support the Eagle Vision Community.
